She is probably talking about having unlawful presence for 6 months before triggering a ban. She left it over 6 months so she most likely triggered a 3 year ban and now has to wait for i601 to get a waiver which can take about 2 years for Mexicans.
What I’m guessing she didn’t disclose to her lawyer or didn’t think it was important was that she had a 8 month lapse of daca renewal.
