You are spot on.
Comprise is the way, the easiest to compromise on is border security. I don't see how it would be controversial to agree to more border security, especially given the record number of border crossings this year. In the past Democrats have been pro border security, plenty of video clips on youtube can be found for that.
About title 42... Didn't the current administration just re-declare covid an emergency? So what would be wrong with some middle ground on this one? This is probably the hardest one to compromise on for Dem. I don't see it happening.
