I’m in the process of buying a home in Florida with the help of a relative (citizen) as my coborrower. Everything has gone smoothly so far but the last step has ground everything to a halt. Since I am doing an FHA loan, it requires mortgage insurance and that requires a validation of my SSN with the SSA through a software program called FHAConnect. It cleared my relative but has returned a validation error for me. I called SSA to verify if there is any thing different about my name in the system than what appears on my SSN card and they confirmed no. The only thing that is different between my relative and I and millions of other Americans with two first names is that I am DACA. So I wondering if thats it and if any other DACA recipient experienced this and how did the lender resolve it with SSA and HUD?

There is a process called a request for endorsement which I am assuming is the manual way of doing the validation rather than digitally but I wont know if the lender is going that route until Monday and I just need some peace of mind and to satisfy my curiosity if it is even related to DACA at all.
