After what happened at the border and the role it played in the election; Democrats realized they needed to change their stance and public image regarding immigration and border security. Their first attempt at that was their 2023 border security enforcement bill. That was killed by trump
I think we will see Dems more willing to negotiate on border security in this Congress, in an attempt to win back the voters they lost in NY, NJ, AZ, NV. and CA. A change needs to happen in the Party and Dem leadership knows it.
