given the support we have of both parties they will propose a permanent solution.

then or at the same time it will force the Trump administration to deal with immigration altogether at once.

their immigration reform would include things such as:

-E Verify nationwide.
-EADs for long time illegals through a fine or paying taxes. Rednecks with seethe that it's amnestry
-Greencards or citizenship to DACAs. ditto
-Merit based immigration with extreme vetting.
-Amendment of the birthright citizenship clause.(one parent USC or something along those lines) might try, will fail, Wong Kim Ark basically requires extraterritorial jurisdiction over you to not be born a citizen, they definitely won't get an amendment through, in judiciary I don't expect Roberts or Gorsuch at the least to agree with that
-Enforcement and enactment of REAL ID.Doubtful, citizens aren't happy about having to prove address to get DLs. Most that'd happen is federally rejecting non-REAL ID DLs from states that offer them to undocumented.
-0 tolerance for crimes commited by non-citizens.
-Citizenship through service in the military.Doubtful, keep in mind that Trump killed MAVNI previously
-Adjustment of costs for immigration related services. Up I presume
-(low probability but could happen) more power to the states to enforce immigration laws at will. Unironically I suspect this one to happen but only in the way of Texas putting in naval mines in the Rio Grande
-Mexican and Canadian nationals getting immigration priority under provisions of the potential upcoming trade agreements. Doubt it. Trump will go into a tariff war that will end up with tit for tat.
-Mexican and Canadian immigration reforms making it more difficult to emigrate to Mexico and Canada. Canada possibly, Mexico who knows, who wants to immigrate to Mexico?

all that while making it impossible to live and work illegally in the US.

would be nice to hear what y'all think could happen too!
Honestly, I just expect the usual republican spiel of enforcement first, enforcement only. I doubt they'll put you on a bus and send you to Tijuana unless you're a criminal or get really unlucky. Instead it'll be just the slow bleed of being relegated to the edges of society.

So you know, can't work legally, might not be able to get a DL, can't open up most accounts, etc. That's kinda the general gameplan under them, make everything so shitty that people leave.
