A lot of this is the fault of weak immigration enforcement. Had they actually detained and deported this guy back when he shoplifted and was convicted none of this would've happened. It's not hard to NOT steal. And if you get accused, you could at least prove your innocence by not having stolen goods. Once you make it to the convicted stage you should be out of here. There is plenty of room to prove your innocence, and lots of room for lawyers to plead your case.

Now, thanks to weak enforcement on criminals we all get punished. Just the mere accusation and detention is enough for being turned over to ICE. Thanks. Much help it was to be soft on criminals. Now everyone gets punished. But as for gun crime that's still fine. Or death from cars. That's fine too.

Although as usual, people adapt to new laws and will get citizen or permanent residents to do their shopping for them. I know I will.
