These are times where we have to be careful who we drive with, unfortunately situations like this can end up bad.

can you share the location this happened, was it close to border, or random CBP/ICE stop? I mean if close to Border may make sense, but just wondering if they are now doing this at random, such as when you go from say CA to Nevada, a lot of folks from Northern Cal go to Lake Tahoe (Nevada) and there is a check point when you cross the state lines. Typically, that is just a waive by or they may stop you and ask if you are bringing over any/ and or transporting any restricted items like agricultural products.
