Not saying that is true, but whatever the story may be, this doesnt surprised me. At least they let him out back home which is important. What sucks is that in places like Texas is only going to get worse because of that recent DACA ruling.
Even if Texas revokes work authorization, he is still protected from deportation. So being a DACA recipient in Texas still worked out for him in this case.
