I think for people who don't have the protection of DACA, trying to adjust their status or doing anything that puts them on the radar is dangerous. In the past, even if you had a deportation order on your record but had the ability to adjust your status (no EWI), they would close the case without issue but now they have to get their numbers or they'll get yelled at by the dead eyed bald guy so nobody is safe.

Just got to somehow survive for the next 3 1/2 years.

Late 40's Dreamer (Holy Fucking shit I'm almost 50 and still dealing with this), aged out of original DACA and didn't have a chance to apply for extended DACA after Republicans killed it on the vine.
