Hello everyone!
My name is Maria, I am identified with all the stories posted in this the stories told in this forum. My only hope is the Dream Act, right now I transfered to San Marcos University but the tuition has been expensive and I do not if I can possibly financially handdle it. I have tried to apply for scholarships but all requiere citinzenship or legal recidency. I do know what to do at this point. I depend from my parents, I have even worked as a janitor and as a maid but the income is so low that I have struggle paying for college. I wish that the senators (Democrats and republicans) aprove the dream act. I only wish for the social security number. I do not ack for money or financial help to finish my education. My only hope is to get a better job to pay for my education. I think all students who are in the same situation as me will agree. "We came to work and succed", there are many scholarships that white people do not even apply for because they are wealthy. I wish this year The Dream Act comes true.
Please if someone knows about a scholarship in which a social number is not need please post the link. Thank you and good luck for everyone.
