I have my own thoughts on this issue. Gov. Spitzer is a wealthy individual his family's money print ranges in millions, they move millions around the state of New York on a weekly basis. The media claims that financial movements, of up to $5,000, that were being made by Spitzer were "suspicious", and that gave incentives to the F.B.I. to investigate. I find it odd that a $5,000 money print is what led the F.B.I. to the prostitution ring, given that Spitzer has a money print that ranges in the millions of dollars on a weekly basis. O.K. Now the Vitter case. The Vitter case did not get as much media attention relative to Spitzer's case, the prostitution ring was in D.C. where our laws are made. To conclude, the G.O.P. targeted Spitzer for who he is, a successfully flawless democratic politician. In addition if it were not for the Patriot Act and all those other laws that undermine the constitution, the phone tap that led the F.B.I. to bust Spitzer would have never been flown in a court room. This our just my thoughts, take it with for what it is worth.
