My friend just beat a DUI in NYC. He declined all breathalyzers and refused testing at the police station. The cop who arrested him asked him "who told you not to take any of the test?" Cop even told him that's what they advise cops to do if they get a DUI. Told him upfront that he wasn't going to show up to any of the court hearings either. Took a year of going to court but he won due to lack of evidence. When he showed up to court the DA would stall and push the court date back. Basically the DA was just hoping he missed a court date.
