The HR 6497 bill is a little bit different.

Age cap 30

It mandates a lot of fee in the new bill !

_ $600 application fee for 5 year conditional nonimmigrant status

_ after 5 years, you have to apply for a 5 year extension. It'll cost you up to $2000 for this 5 year extension

_ In the first 5 years of conditional status, you have to earned a degree or has completed at least 2 years of college; or, you have to serve in military for 2 years.

If you meets the above requirements, you could extend your conditional nonimmigrant status for another 5 years.

After 10 years, you could apply for a green card.

Then after another 3 years, you could apply for citizenship.

It's confirmed now, Retroactive provision is completely removed

source: The above post comes from my own analysis of the newest Dream Act bill HR 6497, which was introduced by Rep. Berman on Dec 7th 2010.

Also, I see another pathway for Dream Act now. If the Senate Dream Act bill S. 3992 fails in Senate today, it could still come back to Senate in the form of the house bill HR 6497 given that House is expected to pass HR 6497.
I guess all my hope are gone right?
