Ooof...I dunno...
My thinking is, if you send it in now...and it takes like 6 months to renew it...you only lost 1 year...but you get a new 2 year cycle leading you into the 2020 Presidential election.
IMO, I would send it in, instead of testing your luck on 1.5 years and then renewing for the 2 more years later on...if it works out that way, it would be much more beneficial for you, sure...but you just cannot trust this White House and the swamp that surrounds it.
