Sadly or not, there was more to this story, and looks like she had a conviction of domestic violence.

Ramírez is not one of those affected by the Sessions decision (the reopening of more than 350,000 deportation cases that had been closed), nor did they stop her because she did not renew her employment authorization on time.

The immigrant was arrested by federal ICE agents because a mistake made in 2017, caused her to lose her legal temporary residence status, and also her rights to stay in the United States.

"Ramírez was arrested by the Azusa Police Department, California, on May 7, 2017 and accused of inflicting bodily injury to a spouse or cohabiting partner," the note adds. "The Office of Citizenship and Immigration (USCIS) notified you of the expiration of your DACA on July 7, 2017," he said.

ICE says Ramírez was convicted of assault on October 17, 2O17 in the Los Angeles Superior Court, "and sentenced to three years probation."
