Oregon is making progress. Oregon is even discussing a bill that would issue driver's licenses to undocumented immigrants.

"An Oregon bill would return illegal immigrants’ right to drive. Since 2008, Oregon has required people to show proof of citizenship to be eligible for a driver’s privilege card.

Sponsored by Sen. Chip Shields, D-Portland, the bill would make it easier for people to get driving privileges. The card could not be used as identification.

The bill – SB845 – is awaiting consideration in the Senate Business, Transportation and Economic Development Committee."
