So, we spoke with our lawyer today. And he said that my Mom's I-130 approval was great, BUT we'd have to go back to Jamaica to pick our visas up. Surprise, surprise: 10 year ban.

The only bright side was that he said that he's had success with people in our situation immigrating to Canada. I figure, I'll try to finish up school here and try to pursue immigrating to Canada probably within the next 18 months, pending the situation with CIR by then.
