Just got cleared, no shipdate yet, recruiter said I need to stop by sign some paperwork go to MEPS and get a shipdate lol

I hope I get a 6 month away ship date. Any advise on what to tell my employer? I was set to be promoted to a manager (w/ six figures) in a month
