I live in the Bay Area in Cali, and now days when they do DUI checkpoints they also do I.D. check points where they are basically looking for anyone without legal status. Sometimes you can get a heads up if it’s happening but ur best bet is to go with someone who can legally drive. They can’t ask for passengers I.D. unless ur suspicious of something.
