If the parent is already a USC and the son/daughter is unmarried and under 21 then they are immediate relatives, it depends on the processing times for your state/region of the US. I'm quite sure that if there are no major problems with the paperwork and processing times, then it'll take less than a year to get the Green Card, maybe about 6 months in total.

Thanks for the link, I just read it (parts of it) but I'm still not sure if I understand it clearly. Does that mean that anyone 30 and above that has already completed the requirements will be granted Conditional Residency, or is it just limited to those between 30 and 35?
