He's not going to compromise on any long term fix so long as Miller has any say in it. He'll either shutdown the government again, declare a state of emergency or declare it on Feb 15 without a shutdown.
The courts will challenge it and he'll lose.
DACA will survive, this is the second time SCOTUS has passed on taking up the case. Our only saving grace will be a Democratic president in time for the next renewal period.
