Past as in past your application acceptance letter and before your biometrics letter and/or appointment date. If it was last updated on the 8/28 and you got your biometrics letter on 8/21, they've looked over your evidence and probably approved it (IF you didn't get an RFE or denial, they are quick to send notices on that). SO now it's pretty much a waiting game for them to process the biometrics and update their records.
