All I know and correct me if I'm wrong.
What he did was since "trump ended daca" it was more like a lawsuit of some states but the thing is that he didn't follow the procedure to end daca.

So some people sued, and the judge used some tweets of trump and he determined it was based on racial hate or racism. Something like that so now he ordered to let daca recipients renew their work permit.

If the trump administration appeal it might take it to the supreme court and it will probably get a 3/3 vote like dapa. But that's all my knowledge I'm pretty sure someone else has more knowledge and can state facts.
