I'm assuming the 1500-1800 number is for the suburbs and not downtown? In that case, would it be safe to say that 1 bedrooms in Downtown Toronto are about 2000 USD (somewhat less than the rents in Manhattan south of 96th)?

How does the metro compare? I've heard horror stories about delays from using Toronto's trains. I don't expect it to be as efficient as the NYC subway but are these complaints overblown?
