This is excellent news,I would also not recommend traveling abroad until permanent residency is gained through the approval of the certified agency whether through Family Unity,National/Public Interest or Humanitarian grounds.

U visa holders can apply for advanced parole to travel OR seek a non-immigrant visa waiver with consular processing of a U visa approved before given full travel authorization......but all of that isn't worth it,imo.
