Back in the US after AP... My experience

So I left the country on Nov 4 to Mexico. I departed from SFO to Dallas and then Dallas to Mexico. No problems or questions departing the country.

Returning: I returned 5 days later. In Mexico I just showed my AP and Passport at immigration and ticket counter then I was given my boarding passes. Once in Dallas I had a 3.5 hour layover to take care of customs and immigration before my next flight to SFO departed at 7. I traveled with my USC sister who was with me in the NON-USC line and that line was long, 1.30 hour long to be exact. Once it was our turn with an officer I gave him my AP documents and Passport and my sister her US passport. Both were scanned and and I was asked for fingerprints of both hands and a picture. We were then escorted to the room everyone talks about and it was pretty full. I kept looking at my watch because the wait was long and I knew we had another plane to catch. Well, after 2 hours my name was called and I was asked 1 questing, "How long has it been since you've visited Mexico"? I replied "almost 20 years", the officer said "wow" smiled, gave me my documents and told me to have a nice day. We did however miss our flight back to San Francisco but after we told American Airlines that it was because of customs they simply rebooked our flight for 2 hours later.

Overall it was an amazing experience and I was extremely grateful to be given the opportunity to visit my ailing grandmother and the rest of my family.

Any questions please feel free to ask.
