immigration truth
Dems(based so far on Rubio's and Durbin's comments about the nonimmigrant visa) seem to oppose the bill based solely on two reasons. Firstly and primarily, this steals the issue and ownership of it away from them, they do not want that, politics therefore takes precedence over ideas. Secondly, they will argue the bill reduces many dreamers to second class citizenship and is a cruel political charade that is a slap in the face to hispanics. So far not evcn one democratic legislator or writer has commented well on the bill, and some republican outlets are even going haywire against it and already calling it amnesty. Something just tells me nothing is passing in this climate.
