I have to agree with those who say that telling others is not a bad thing. There is a countless number of people who know about my situation, and never once has anyone said anything demeaning, threatening or in any way negative about it. The only that has come of it, is not having to worry about everyone finding out.

If there is someone in your life who you trust, then the best thing to do would be to share it with them. Obviously your not going to tell someone you hardly know, but if you've known the person long enough to trust them, then you should have an idea of how they will respond.
