I am in the same predicament as you! My parents got me the same kind of SS card when they brought me through Mexico via coyotes. I started working with it in my late teens and have been ever since.. Paid all my taxes, filled out tax forms and everything for every year I worked. I'm waiting to leave the country and come back on approved AP (trip in October) so I can adjust status through my husband who is a USC. Glad to know that inadmissability doesn't apply to me either!
