I applied yesterday for another credit card with Capital One for a $200 secured credit card and only asked for a $49 deposit.
Both of those cards come with annual fees.

US BANK has secured credit cards without fees. A much better choice:

If you have a relationship with a bank like Bank of America or Chase, you might be able to apply for a non secured card and get it based on the relationship. That's how I got my first card (from BOA).

Also applying in person or over the phone is the best. That way you can go for a reconsideration immediately. If you apply online the website won't care/let you give any reasons on why they should approve you.
