Did you tell the recruiter flat out that you were an undocumented immigrant or did you just tell him you didn't have a GC? There was a time and it possibly still is legal for temporary visa holders to legally get into the service based on language proficiency. Temporary visa holders and undocumented are two different things.

I think we're splitting hairs here. The chances of an undocumented immigrant getting into the military are slim to none. Sneaking through the cracks and managing to make a career out of it without getting caught would be a miracle. That's a dangerous game to play and I think the risk to reward ratio is pretty bad.
