I work for State of Connecticut as an Analyst at a very very good agency. I consider myself very lucky as I assume these jobs are extremely competitive. I'm pretty sure most if not all states hire anyone eligible for employment. I was worried in the beginning as well when I got a job offer but it was an absolute breeze.
