This is not a good analogy. Those 3 year work permits were allowed to be kept so long as they were approved before the court ruling. The ones after were asked to be returned. If Court rules while your application is still pending then I fear they might not approve it. Sorry, I don't mean to be negative, I just have a legitimate concern. Either way, this is no excuse to send your renewal. Don't care how far out from expiring you are, send it in!
