Dude, you can get a license and social security number from a work permit! F*ck yea, lol. As for the cost, i know there will be some cost associated to process it, but i don't know how much. Also, remember you'll be paying that cost when you have to renew it every 2 years.
I also have some guarded optimism on this. I won't ever be truly celebrating until one of us actually acquires the work permit.
