Good for you that you are able to save..but again remember that it is considered a savings account, money your not going to touch unless its an emergency. this is the mentality they will use. They will care more about income and expenses then what you have in the bank unless you have a more subtantial amount like 50-100k ...but 10k can be easily used in one day God forbid you have an emergency or need to use the emergency room so they will not count that against you. Just make sure that you do not lie on your application and be completely honest, don't try to hide any money or anything like that.
