She lives in Toronto now, and what's weird is she didn't seem to trigger the 10-year ban because she's been coming back to Los Angeles like every year (since 2013). lol. So I think maybe if you move to Canada and get married to a resident there, the 10-year ban gets cancelled out?

How do they determine if you triggered the 3-10 year ban? Do they ask questions and assume or is there some paper trail?
