Hey guys, I remember one time I got a metro ticket but forgot to go to court. It's been at least 1-2 years ago and I just remembered this now. Do you guys know how to track your records in the city of Los Angeles? I gave them my real name(the name on my student ID card) and real address. I would like to get this off my record asap to fulfill the good moral character part of the Dream Act(but would this even be enough to disqualify me anyways?)

As far as I know from the Dream Act. It says paying your taxes, register with SSS. I mean you don't have a felony on your record right? I would call the court and find the best possible way to get this off record.

I don't have any felonies. Getting that ticket is the worst "crime" I've committed in my life. What is SSS? And no, I don't pay taxes and I don't plan on paying taxes not because I don't want to but because I just don't have the means to at this moment. I think you can pay back taxes once Dream Act passes though, right?

What kind of ticket was this? This is not a crime. Its a traffic violation.

Selective System Services. What is your age? Do you get W2's every year from your employer? Yes, you will have to pay back taxes.

I just forgot to buy a ticket from the machine and got caught with an officer(I really just forgot, I ALWAYS pay). I'm 22 and I work/worked under the table. I can't get W-2's(I don't have a social security number.

Edit: Btw, since it's not technically a "crime" would anyone look at that traffic violation and complain about it? I mean, what if I can't get this thing off my record?

You need to file with SSS before you turn 25 for good moral credits. If you get paid cash then you owe no taxes. Does your check show the tax amount if you get a check? Why not just pay your fines and get it over it? Once you pay its gone off your record. You need to call the court.

Um, I work at an CPA firm(ironic i know) but I still get paid by check. However, there is no tax deduction. I just get paid straight for the hours earned. I don't know what my CPA does to justify my pay but I'd rather just leave it alone. And about the court thing, yea I'm just scared to step forward about it because of the embarrassment of being illegal and I'm a bit paranoid about the immigration officers out to get me.

Then you have no taxes due. I know where you are coming from but it does not hurt to call them from phone and inquire about it. At least you will know what you owe.
