I hear its really hard to get into that school that Televisa has for its actors. I'm with you on that one because I want to do television.

My advice is try to hold on as much as you can. If not then I guess Mexico awaits !

that's cool that you're walking with the trail of dreams...And how about we throw a party OUTside of the US. Since most of us have been stuck here forever. "/

p.s: follow your dreams.

Well, no offense, but unless you look like freaking Taylor Lautner/Megan Fox and act like Meryl Streep/George Clooney how do you know you're gonna get hired as an actor in Mexico for sure?

I have no experience with the Mexican entertainment industry. None. But I am quite familiar with the process here in Hollywood (my boyfriend is a talent agent) and I can tell you that there are literally millions of people who think they have that je ne sais quoi and bank all their hopes and dreams in it only to have a casting director piss all over them. In my experience, I think it has to do with luck more than anything else.

So my advice is this: get an education AND THEN go to Mexico. If you don't make it in the business at least you have a plan B to fall back on. Good luck, and don't give up.

I believe its hard to get anywhere in any entertainment industry. Just like any entertainment industry they are very "how you look" oriented. A lot of actors from other countries go there since they have more European features and the Mexican industry favors that a lot. If you have those indian/dark features then it might be even harder even if your really talented.

But yeah, Angelo is right as sometimes some people just get lucky

I totally agree. If acting is really what you want to do, then go for it. But make sure if they don't see your greatness, then have a backup plan.

I had no idea Televisa had an acting school lol.

Hey angeleno, I know that I haven't been nice to ya, and your friends(from this site) in the past, but first off I just wanna say that I am sorry, and I just did what I did for, well, for shits and giggles. Anyhow, I've been lucky enough to finally fix my status, and I'm really passionate about acting, and I was just wondering what are the best steps to finding an agent?

My goals as an actor are realistic, but it would really help me, if I can find some representation.

P.S.
Which part of WeHo do you live at? I often work out by the 24 hour fitness by Santa Monica BLVD.
