For those who will reach the 6month mark in february like me. Did you have a previous case with homeland security? I did. But im clean, all ive done since i came here was attend school. Any suspicion why it might be taking this long? Advice from lawyer? Feelings of fear? anxiety?
Im starting to fear this will take longer than 6months. My lawyer will contact them in three weeks if i dont receive anything. I want to stay positive though....

I understand this is part of the process and nobody truly knows how they handle the applications received. But what do you guys think? i need some positive feedback.

Tnx

Yes, I think those of us with previous cases will be taking longer.

I'm reaching the 6month in Feb as well. We have the same timeline, plus 1 day.

I also had a previous case because of my overstay for the past 10 yrs. Lasted through college, got denied, appealed, then denied the day before Obama announced this program....

My lawyer is in contact with a immigration officer who says that might be why it's taking so long for me, one reason. She is going check again next week. She pretty much said it's part of the process...

Patiently waiting.

I did a FOIA with DHS, does that count as a previous case?

When you do a FOIA is usually because you have a previous case.

Yes, but nothing was found. It's why I m wondering it still constitutes as a previous case when I did the FOIA.
