All the 8/17 people, are you guys on your 2nd renewal? IE 4th year of DACA? I don't even understand how you got such an early date, my first application was sent in literally the first day it was available.

Either way, I think it is ridiculous the 8/17 people lost their jobs/status, and USCIS is just like hands up sorry we can't do anything attitude.

Latest reply from a service request:

"Thank you for your inquiry dated August 22, 2016, requesting information about your Consideration of Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) package.

Your case is awaiting the required biometrics submittal, and is currently in suspense until you complete this process. Your application information has been entered into the system which schedules applicants for biometrics at their local Application Support Center (ASC). Biometrics appointments are scheduled as slots become available at the ASC. Once you have been scheduled for an appointment, you will receive an ASC Appointment Notice to appear at a certain date and time at your local ASC. You must take the ASC Appointment Notice and photo ID to your appointment.

Once you have been scheduled, you may view and print a copy of your USCIS ASC Appointment Notice within your USCIS online filing system account. After you log in to your USCIS online filing system account, access the Home Tab to find the "Recent Notices" field to view or print your official appointment notice from USCIS."

It seems like everyone who received timely biometrics appt notice also received an online account notice with the access code in the mail. I never received the online account notice and had to call for an access code. All the responses to my service requests have been regarding the approval of my case when all I wanted them to do at the moment is to schedule my bio appt. I even got a response that talks about the Feb-May application delays even though I submitted mine in June.

My brother submitted his 2 weeks after mine, and he also have not received a biometrics appointment yet either and no online account notice.

I got my bios two days after that response. Waited 120+ Days for it.

How did you create this service request? By phone or email? What did you say to them?

I actually use part of what you wrote about scheduling my bio appt manually outside of ELIS so thank you!!! This is the first reply for the multiple service requests that they said my information has been entered for a bio appt. All the other ones talk about checking my online account and how my case is still within processing time blah blah blah, and one about the Feb-May renewal delays.

Can you tell me around how far ahead your bio appt was from the date you got scheduled? Last time when I tried walking in (with the bio appt the infopass officer linked to my old renewal -_-), they wouldn't let me walk in, so I am worried since I want to get it done asap via a walk-in.

I used the "Contact Us" after logging into the online account. They typically reply faster although their replies have been pretty useless (nothing about biometrics appointment at all) aside from the latest one (crossing my fingers).I edited some of WhatAPro posted before.

"Hello,

It has been 80 days now since I received the initial receipt notices, and I still do not have my biometrics appointment scheduled yet.

Please process my case outside ELIS and schedule a biometrics appointment for me manually. USCIS' internal ELIS issues have delayed my application to the point that I have not been scheduled for biometrics after 2.5 months. My EAD expires on 10/09/2016, and I am getting concerned that it will not renew on time even though I submitted the renewal within the recommended time frame. Everyone knows this is an internal USCIS issue and not the applicants. Please process my case through CLAIMS 3, SNAP/NASS(manual), ELIS is not working for me.

Thank you - I will really appreciate it if my biometrics appointment can be scheduled as soon as possible."

I hope this bodes well for you. I sent a similar inquiry to the ELIS help desk a few days ago specifically requesting manual entry of the biometrics notice. I also mentioned that technical issues seem to be plaguing ELIS such that it is severely delaying notices.

That's what it's supposed to say. It doesn't change until your bf's application gets approved.

Yup, I applied on one of the first few days (if not the first day) in 2012 and got approved very quickly as you can see in my signature. In 2014, I applied within the recommended time frame and got approved so quickly that my new expiration date was 8/17, cutting my old deferral short by six weeks. I wish they would honor your original date. That honestly would have kept this mess from happening and I would not have had to quit my job just to go back and get rehired in 3 weeks. I guess I'm lucky that my company at least cares and is dealing with it.

Thank you! Good luck to you as well. Have you received a reply from yours yet? I submitted this inquiry on 08/22/2016.
