1. Let them lower the age from 35 to 25-26. I know I'm selfish because I'm only 17, but if DA does not pass now it may never come up again for years with Republicans controlling the House and Obama having a 90% of not being re-elected in 2012.

2. Change conditional green card to student visas with work permit, or any combination. "Legal" status is MUCH better than being undocumented. There are a lot of avenues one can use to get permanent resident status if one is on a legal status.

Partial Dream Act > no Dream Act at all.
You are cutting 9 years and that would disqualify a whole lot of folks. Its been 35 since the start. House has no limit. Also age isn't a factor if someone has atleast 2 year degree or better.

I agree about the student visa with work permit.

If only visas are granted, when they run out people could overstay them, those people will once again become undocumented, that unfortunately does not solve the problem. A pathway to residency is very crucial and has to stay on the Bill. The whole age clause is debatable but it should stay just that- a debate, I do not think that it should change, it should stay the way it is. A compromise is always good, but it has to be done in a very tactful manner, and issuing visas is not one of them (you have to think long-term). Passing Border security with the Dream Act in it's current form is more of a tactful compromise.

Student Visas, great then we can all leave after 4 years BACK to our home countries. Where it isn't NEARLY as easy as some of you think to come back!. You will need work experience or a Masters degree (plus work experience) if you want to be accepted back into the U.S.

Also, student visas do not make it possible to enlist in the military, some republicans support the provision BECAUSE of its military component, you are just patching up one problem with the band-aid of another!

Man I wish you were 29, one of the original people who fought for DREAM to get as far as it has. In fact, with the way you are carrying yourself I can only assume you haven't done anything besides complain about wanting the DREAM Act to pass. And yes the house version of the DREAM Act doesn't have an age limit the Senate version does, and at the end of the day they have to be combined together. If republicans are allowed free reign on the bill they could even take out the retroactive clause in the bill. THINK PEOPLE!

Don't let him sway your thinking, he just wants to make sure he is safe. He doesn't care about the rest of us, hell if he could he would probably make the age limit 18 to ensure himself a ticket to conditional residency. But hey "some of use got in, so I guess its ok" that would be the response he'd give you if ICE were to raid your home.

If the DREAM Act doesn't pass it'll be because it was never meant to be!

I say leave no man behind!

No 4 years of college is a bad idea. You can get a lot of 2-3 degrees at a community college that would allow you to work in occupations like Dental Hygiene, Physician Assistant, Computer Science, lab technician, early childhood education.

my community college has a 2 and a half year nursing program for a nursing degree.

I think lower the age to 26.
And lower it to 13 or 14 when you enter the country
stay in conditional residency for 8 years
then 5 years of Permanent residency
A restriction that would say YOU ARE NOT ALLOW TO BRING, YOUR Parent's Brothers and Sisters . Only your wife and children.
And that's It.

Not amnesty for all other people only the Dreamers that's a GOOD BILL and a good Compromise..
What do you guys think?
