I doubt it USCIS makes decisions based on individual alone

I-797c received on 8/27 Biometric appointment on 9/17 (done on 9/13)

They do a background check of all their Databases.

When they do a name check, say someone in your family was involve in a crime and someone you're relationship to them was inputted into the database, your name might popup and might delay the process.

People, understand that this stuff is no joke. These are legit processes, there is no hiding under a rock, they'll find your past, and hopefully is not scary.

Still waiting.

Doubt they do a check on all your family members and associates. Sounds a bit illegal, but with the Patriot Act anything is possible.
