Should I call the nebraska hotline? Thanks.
Hmmm mine came in on the same day even though DACA was approved after EAD was sent. BUT I think it had a lot to do with Hurricane Sandy. If you're in an area that was impacted by the storm, that may be why. Wait it out til after Monday, if nothing, give them a call.

Can't be by none of what you have stated. My sister is 29 with a GED and my other one 18 with high school diploma. I have a high school diploma and college classes. Im 22 and they got approved under two weeks.

That's incredible. We have no choice but to continue waiting and keep busy. I certainly hope they're not discriminating based on what country we're from because I don't understand why somebody who did biometrics 8-10 days after me is being approve from same service center. It is what it is.

Plz put up your timeline. Which service center was your app sent to ? When were your siblings approved? If its been a long time, then this pretty much throws my theory of the applicants residence out of the window.

My friend called yesterday and he was told that you should receive a answer for your work authorization within 90 days. They encourage you to call by he 75th day to make sure nothing is wrong with your app. She also said that the DACA app is the one that could take up to 4 months not the I765. She told him to call back by the Nov 12 if he has not received anything which would be the 75 day since they received his app.

You can try calling yourself. Maybe you will get lucky and talk to someone sympathetic? Who knows...

Yes, but we aren't eligible for work authorization until after DACA approval.

I've been wondering if the background checks are what could be holding some people up. I was browsing immigrate2us.net once and saw a thread on how the background check could hold people up based on the beneficiary's country of origin. I don't know if this is what's going on with DACA applicants, but I wouldn't rule that out completely.

We should start including country of origin in signatures and see if there could be a pattern to what is going on.

Now when I call, I will inquire about the 765 app. Thanks.

I'm sure that is the reason in some cases. I'm doubtful this is in my case. My first and last name are very uncommon and I have had no contact with law enforcement. All I know is the wait is disheartening.
