HI,
Presently the holding up time appears to be something like 12-year and a half. I know of no less than one applicant with January, 2012 date. He is still holding up! Furthermore in a different case, a RFE was sent throughout the 10th month and approval happened in 19 months. The hold up is ridiculous. The LiveSafe school Safety app is a unquestionable requirement have for each understudy, instructor, and guardian. Download the Livesafe app today and help you friends and family feel safe and secure regardless of where they are.

I received an RFE notice last week on my U-visa application. This morning I received another notification that says my card is in production. No approval notification yet.

I am confused! I will update you all when my status change again. My status' so far have been 'Initial Review'->'Request For Evidence->(2 days later)'Card in PRoduction'.

Is anyone familiar with this situation? By 'Card in Production' do they mean the RFE letter is in production?

My Receipt date is march 5, 2012.

Ianus,
A couple of hours after I received the 'Card Production', I received another notification saying that my case has been approved. My lawyer has no idea why I received the RFE notification on Thursday 4/11. He left a message at VAWA hotline and he said they will return his call and we will know for sure if it indeed has been approved. But from the looks of it, I think my petition has been approved! keeping my fingers crossed until the final confirmation! But regardless, it seems a bit bizarre that they would send me an RFE notification and a couple of days later they would approve it without any RFE response. I will keep you posted!!

That is awesome.Usually when an application says 'Card in Production' on the USCIS site it usually means they are creating the benefit based on an approved case.I believe your EAD permit should be Category A19 or A20 when you receive it.

Congrats buddy,You deserve it!

Ianus, it's been confirmed! They rescinded the RFE and approved my case. First time I am seeing that a RFE can be recalled! wow!

Thank you so much for helping me out with your lawyer-esque immigration knowledge! I still can't believe it. The entire process took more than 2 years!

It's no problem, buddy! I am glad everything worked out and honestly it's times like this I return to this forum.Nothing can stop a Dream,or Dreamer for that matter!

I have also never heard about USCIS rescinding an RFE.I guess they figure since the case took so long they had no reasoning to ask for more evidence.

hey J_L, I sent you a private message but also repeating here for the benefit of the others who are also waiting on their I-918.

Got my approval notice on 4/16.

"
On 4/11, I received a notification that an RFE was issued. I was very disappointed. Then on Monday (4/16) morning I got another notification that my card was in production. My lawyer called the vawa hotline and they told us that the rfe was "RECALLED".

My receipt date: 3/5/2012
RFE notification: 4/11/2013
RFE Recalled and Approved: 4/16/2013.

I know at least of one other person who was approved on 4/8. Her receipt date was February 28, 2012. So it's safe to assume that they are processing march2012 application now. Yours is coming soon! Good luck! I sincerely wish you good luck!

James
