Hi All - I'm new here and found this site interestting - since I'm really on the edge and nobody can help me anymore..Im in the same boat as you all here - I was 4 yrs old when my parents came here and recentlt I just garduated from High school with honors. My problem is I dont have SSN - and I'm afraid to go to any school institution that they may find out I'm illegal - I'm still waiting for the DREAM ACT but i'ts taking a while..MY questions is does anybody here know what college or university accepts any illegal immigrant or out of status? If so please post it. Do you know what are the requirements on how to get it - I would like to take a NURSING course. PLEASE HELP ANYBODY here and thanks for you time.

Santa Ana College has a great nursing program...and yo don't need a ssn to attend community college that i know of. UC's and Cal states dont require you to have a ssn you can get instate tuition through the ab540

Texas has the HB1403 which lets you pay in-state tuition and you may be eligible for Texas grants or some scholarships.
Requirments:
-Texas Resident
-3 years of high school education in the state of Texas
-Sign an affidavit promising that you are going to apply for legal residency as soon as you are eligible
I just graduated from a Texas nursing program but I'm unable to work without a SSN

Here is a link I found regarding the hb1403

you can attend any community college, cal state, or uc; it's not required. it's kind of late to be applying to calstates and ucs now though, so your best bet might be to attend a community college for now. many of them offer nursing programs, i'm sure. good luck!

You can go to community college if you just show a High School transcript I think you had to be in the state of California for 4 years
