California has AB-540 which requires a candidate to participate in 3 years of high school and receive a diploma or GED in order to receive in-state tuition at California colleges. Colorado has ASSET which requires the same thing. I attended high school for the first 2 years in California and then moved to Colorado where I attended the remaining 2 years and received my high school diploma several years ago. It seems like I now don't qualify for either. Am I understanding this correctly? I'm pretty demoralized at the moment.

Yes, sadly that is correct - however, isnt there something about residing there for a certain number of years to qualify for in state tuition?

Yes, but now that you have daca you can check if you qualify for just residency based tuition. They might have you wait a year though. For all other folk residency in ca is established by living in the state for one year.
