hey guys!
my original EAD was set to expire 10/16/14
I got married June of this year before i sent my renewal application in. Just got my EAD with my new last name and new expiration date of 9/16/16
All i did was send in a copy of my marriage certificate and wrote my new last name on everything and just included my previous name under other name used. I did not have any issues when getting my biometrics done either all I did was show them the certificate too.
Hope this is helpful for everyone.

I have a similar situation. Just to clarify, you mailed a copy of your marriage certificate with your renewal packet?

Hmm good to know...

I never changed my name because I found Mexico doesn't change names and so that would be a problem for me with my passport later in the future when my husband adjusts my status.

Yes all I mailed was a copy of my marriage certificate and changed my last name on all of my applications. When I went to the DMV to get my license changed they asked to see my passport and that had my maiden last name because Mexico doesn't change names of course and they were completely fine with it. The social security office changed it with no issues either. Figured it would be easier to have his last name now for when I adjust my status later.

What do you guys think about this:

I got my renewal already and want to begin building credit on my new social but wanted to switch everything to my married name once and for all. Should I got ahead and do it once and for all? Social and D.L ? my renewal is for 3 years and its fairly early on. Do you think it would affect me since I had previously done my maiden name.

Thanks
