I'm pretty sure it's the same, but that's just a guess. I did read on here that the green paper will tell them that it's an application that needed corrections and it'll go to some special file or something like that.

People I need your help.

My case was denied. They gave me a 33 day period to appeal. I submitted the appeal on the 31 day. However, several day later I received a Notice of Rejection inviting me to fix something in my appeal form and resubmit my documents. I fix it and sent it the next day. All the documents were scanned by uscis with a date within the 33 days period. However, the resubmission was 10 after, obviously out of the 33 day period. The resubmission was admitted and 6 months later I got an answer saying I didn't presented on time. It doesn't make sense since the notice of rejection inviting to resubmit was even dated 5 days after the 33 days period. Please help me with your experiences.

I'd say contact a lawyer to help you with it at this point, since your word against theirs. USCIS does stuff like that sometimes, such as not following their own rules, etc (happened to me). It takes a good lawyer to point their errors in an appropriate way.

I just received a green paper from the immigration service saying refer to i797. Tried find a forum on USCIS.gov to read instructions for such a paper but the only thing i got was that i797 is sent by the immigration as a acceptance, rejection or additional info paper. I do not KNow what to do. Do i need to send a additional paper? All that it says on the paper is "We are sorry to inform you that we have rejected your application for the reasons indicated on the I-797 reject notice". thats it. I hate how they try to make you get a lawyer and not specify exactly what it is.

HELP PLEASE

When you checked your status before you got the green paper, did it say something like this? "On February 24, 2015, we received your Form I-821D, Consideration of Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals, Receipt Number LIN....., and sent you the receipt notice that describes how we will process your case. Please follow the instructions in the notice. If you do not receive your receipt notice by March 26, 2015, please call Customer Service at 1-800-375-5283."
