Well there are different kinds of cruises for different kinds of income brackets. I think the idea of being able to hang out on a gigantic vessel with a plethora of amenities and all the food I want is a fun way to relax. I probably wouldn’t even get off in the Bahamas, just hang on the ships. Yes, I understand give I used to live in SoFlo too and would see those ships heading out as I drove into Key Biscayne. Such a bummer. I love all vessels and vehicles. Cars, Bikes, Trucks, Trains, Boats, Ships, Airplanes, Space shuttles etc lol

You might want to check out Hawaii cruises. Some of them do not disembark at a foreign port so I think all you need is a DL.

“Hawaii Cruises
There's no need for a passport when you sail on any Hawaii inter-island cruise. If your ship never sails beyond the islands of Hawaii, all you need is a government-issued photo I.D. which includes a passport or a valid driver's license with a photo.“

Thanks 2dream. I haven’t looked at NCL’s Hawaii cruises in years. Last time I had checked it required a passport for Pride of America. That was years ago. I’m gonna check it out again.
