The truth is that the courts blocked everything and made it so that the politicians didn't have to do anything. They had 6 months to do something for us but instead the courts helped them out big time by blocking the move.

Yeah you'd get a bridge act in exchange for "Fuck off we're full" act. You'd be back to working odd jobs in front of home depot for 2 years now. What, you'd think they'd do an extension during the pandemic crash? Hahaha-ha.

Isn't all this a waste of time?

I believe there is a current court case arguing the legality of daca itself and not just the way daca was implemented (APA). If the court finds that daca is illegal then all of this becomes a waste of time.

Once they vote for some kind of legal relief, it will become hard to end it, especially considering the potential economic impact. The GOP does not care about the moral aspect of immigration but will absolutely care if there is a significant financial impact. If something ever passes, it would be our duty to go out and completely integrate ourselves into the economy to the point they are forced to continue any program.

A major problem, I see with daca right now is the lack of hard financial data. There are only estimates and potential impacts; we need hard proof of our significant economic impact as a group.

Demys and the radical immigrant organizations led by big time cash organization UWD want DACA to continue on forever. They are against Dream Act and legalization of Dreamers because the latter would stop their strong cash flows and put them out of business. Fact.

I don't disagree with your statement but the way you frame it makes it sound like political propaganda. It is hard to take it seriously when framed that way.

I am by no means anyone who stands to gain politically. However, the way I phrased it fully represents how UWD and similar big time cash organizations conduct their day to day business. They are ready to pounce at every opportunity they get to get donations and they do not put those donations to use (ex. During the time when USCIS was not even accepting DACA applications due to the court order, I have seen sponsored FB posts by UWD scaring people and asking for donations to pay for DACA applications). They are fully unprofessional as well (ex. During a call that I listened in to, towards the end, one random dude in a weird accent yelled out "Okay people...let's go after these racists!" UWD and Co. will fight tooth and nail against legalization of Dreamers. They do this by demanding "Clean DA" because they know the latter will fail. This strategy has been working well for them for years!

I'd say this is true for the GOP in the early 2000's but it's hard to say now. Right now the US businesses are hurting for workers, for example airline pilots. It's causing significant cancellations in flights, thus reducing airline revenue. Other non-wage OpEx costs are going up too due to inflation. There's a lot of knock on effects just because of that, like airports and businesses around it are seeing reduced demand.

Immigration has a huge impact in US economy. More reduction in the active labor pool will lead to a wage price spiral making inflation much worse. At the very least you'd want to ensure stability of the labor pool. Removing work permits doesn't do that, yet it's a possibility. If the GOP was going to do anything on immigration solely because of economic reasons, it'd be right now but I don't see any movement.
